Valerie Trapp '18 Named Coolidge Senator, Earns Trip to D.C.
Trinity Prep, Trinity Preparatory School, Valerie Trapp

Trinity Prep senior Valerie Trapp '18 was recently named a Coolidge Scholar by the Calvin Coolidge Presidential Foundation, a recognition for the top two percent—out of more than 2,500 applicants—for the Coolidge Scholarship.

As a Coolidge Scholar, Valerie was awarded an all-expenses-paid trip to Washington D.C. where she stayed at the Willard International Hotel—a location famous for housing Coolidge during his vice presidency. During this trip, Valerie visited the White House, the Supreme Court, the Capitol, Arlington Cemetery and the Library of Congress.

The goal of this trip was to show Coolidge Scholars different career paths and teach them about president Coolidge's values of humility and civility.
