Scholarships and Grants
Trinity Prep offers three scholarships and grants, which are all need-based. To apply for any of these scholarships or grants, first fill out a TADS application for financial aid. Then complete the application for the particular award. Students may apply for multiple scholarships or grants.
- Alumni Giving Fund Grant
- Dr. Thomas C. Dickinson Endowed Scholarship
- Malone Scholar Program
- Christine Brumback '91 Endowed Scholarship
Established by the Trinity Prep alumni advisory board and supported by alumni who designate their annual donation to the Trinity Prep Fund to financial aid, the Alumni Giving Fund provides $2,500 grants to middle and upper school students. In addition to demonstrated financial need, the recipient must demonstrate the potential for academic achievement, leadership, and participation in and contributions to extracurricular pursuits.
The application deadline for the 2017-18 Alumni Giving Fund Grant has passed. Applications for the 2018-19 school year will be available in the fall.
Established in memory of Dr. Thomas C. Dickinson, Sr. by his children Ansley Dickinson Smithwick ’72, Clay B. Dickinson ’75, Allison Brockman Dickinson ’77, and Graham Cheshire Dickinson ’86, this endowed partial scholarship will be awarded to a qualified freshman student with demonstrated need who is interested in life sciences and in service to others.
The Malone Scholar Program is open to students in grades seven to 11 who are in the top 5% of their class. The Malone grant includes the cost of school-related expenses and 100% of a family's demonstrated need, based on the results of a TADS application. In addition, each applicant must submit an application for financial aid by that date.
Since 2007, Malone scholars have attended Harvard, Yale, Stanford, Georgetown, Johns Hopkins, University of Florida, Florida State, Brown, Emory, University of Virginia, New York University, and more.
"My world opened to opportunities I never would have imagined possible for anyone in my family with the help of a gracious Malone scholarship. I will now be the first in my family to graduate from a university and have dreams of going to medical school. all the while knowing that this would have never been possible without the amazing foundation of education from Trinity Prep."
