Trinity Prep will continue to accept applications for admission after all deadlines, however all of our openings will fill in the first-round. Late applicants will be placed in a waitpool for consideration if additional spaces become available. Admission Testing Requirements All local applicants are expected to take the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE). The admission committees will accept results from the Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT) from applicants outside of the Orlando area and from other states. A current Comprehensive Testing Program CTP IV through ERB may be accepted in lieu of the ISEE as long as the test was taken within 5 months of the application deadline date. If you miss the deadline to register for a test date and your child MUST test on that particular date, please contact the Admission Office. Testing earlier does not give your student any advantage, so choose a date and test location that works best for you within the application deadline requirements. Upper School applicants who have taken the Pre-Scholastic Aptitude Test (PSAT) or Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) as a sophomore or junior may not need to take the ISEE. Call the Admission Office if you have questions regarding testing. http://www.iseetest.org Back to top of page. What is the ISEE, and how do I register my child to take the test? Formal test preparation is not necessary. The ISEE measures what your child has learned in school. A simple review of test-taking skills is adequate preparation. You may order a study guide from ISEE from their website. The Independent School Entrance Exam measures some of the skills your child has acquired during his or her school years and helps the Admission Committee determine which children would be likely to succeed with Trinity's rigorous academics. The test covers math skills, vocabulary, and reading comprehension and includes a writing component. Back to top of page. Test Score Results The resulting scores on the ISEE test will not match other national standardized test scores. ISEE test scores will generally be lower than scores on tests like the IOWA, Stanford Achievement Test, etc. If you have questions or concerns about your child's scores, please contact the Admission Office. A student cannot fail the test, but the ISEE is generally a very good tool in predicting a student's ability to be successful at Trinity Prep. The admission test is only one consideration for admission, and the committee evaluates all aspects of the applicant's folder. | Back to top of page. |
