Upper School

Welcome to the Upper School. Students in grades 9-12 take a challenging college-preparatory curriculum. The highly qualified, caring faculty encourages students to set high personal standards and achieve their greatest possible intellectual growth. In Trinity Prep's cooperative atmosphere, the teachers know all of their students as individuals. Students are helped to reach their potential and to maximize their creative talents.

Twenty-five Advanced Placement courses provide the opportunity for students to pursue college-level course work, and many enter college with credits earned in high school. Honors courses are offered in English, mathematics, social sciences, foreign languages, science, and fine arts. English/history interdisciplinary study and an outstanding facility for laboratory sciences are special features of our program. Students can choose from a wide variety of elective courses to complement the required academic program.

Leadership, character, and service to the community are at the forefront of our mission.  Upper School students develop leadership skills and build character through connections and long-lasting relationships cultivated with teachers, coaches, and other members of the Trinity Family.  In accordance with one of our four core values, our daily efforts "promote leadership, ethical behavior, personal responsibility, and reinforce the highest standard of character and honor."   This core commitment is achieved through the myriad of opportunities offered in the classroom, on the stage and athletic fields, in advisory groups and clubs, and through community service endeavors.

Our students are talented and involved. They eagerly accept the challenge of a rigorous yet rewarding curriculum, unselfishly volunteer their time for others, and work together to achieve common goals.  Along the way, they discover creative talents, establish life-long relationships, and develop the skills and personal integrity necessary for college and beyond.

Sincerely,

Dennis C. Herron
Assistant Headmaster/Upper School Principal
