New Parent Guide

Important Information for 2013-2014

Getting ready for school in the fall.

 


May 15 - Mandatory Forms and Information Update e-mail is sent to all families. (If you do not see it in your e-mail, please check spam or junk mail.) This e-mail from Trinity Prep informs you to log in to your account on MyTPS online to update your biographical information and complete required forms for the fall semester. This process must be completed by May 24 before a student’s schedule is released.

May 15 - Summer reading requirements for all grades posted on the Trinity Prep website-link below.

May 21 - Reception for all new 6th grade students/parents

                5:15-6:15 p.m. Trinity Grille

             - Fall Sports Information Session for ALL students/parents interested in playing a fall sport

                6:30 p.m. Auditorium

May 22 - Sports Physicals for student-athletes offered in the Race Athletic Center from 5:30-7:00 p.m. This physical fulfills the requirements for all student/athletes as well as physicals required for new students including non athletes. For complete information on athletic physical and forms requirements, see link below.

May 22–23 - First ImPACT testing sessions held in the DAC. Students who completed Impact Testing last year are not required to do so this year. (If you are a new student and you had ImPACT testing previously, please inform our Athletic Office.)  Go to ImPACT Testing 2013 to reserve a date and time.

June 1- Summer reading books available for purchase with Follett bookstore online.  For additional book ordering information, see link below.

July 1- Class schedules posted to your MyTPS account by the School; Follett Bookstore opens

August 12, 2013-MANDATORY New Student and Parent Orientation

  • Orientation includes technology information for parents and students and a campus tour for students to find classes and locker locations. (Parents: You will meet teachers during Parents Nights at a later date in August.)
  • Please arrive by 8:00 a.m. to register.
  • 8:30 a.m. Technology Introduction for New Parents and Students
  • 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon orientation
  • Education Center Auditorium
  • Dress is casual.  Light refreshments will be served following the orientation program.   

We strongly recommend that you put your student’s name on personal belongings including backpacks, cell phones, calculators, lunch boxes, and in their books. Student’s often misplace these expensive items, and it is difficult to return them without a name attached.

All new parents should be sure to check the link to the required physicals, immunizations, and birth certificate details below to be sure that you comply with these requirements before the school year begins.
