ORLANDO, FL (November 15, 2022) –  New York Times bestselling young adult (YA) author Tiffany D. Jackson (“Allegedly,” “Monday’s Not Coming,” “Grown,” “White Smoke, ”Blackout,” “The Weight of Blood,” “Whiteout”) will be the keynote speaker for the eighth annual Trinity Prep Author Fest.

Since the program’s inception, the Author Fest has rapidly evolved into one of the nation’s most popular interactive literary events for young adults and involves writers, students, and librarians from around the world. Organizer Georgia Parker said writers have been eager to participate in the upcoming event, which started eight years ago with just 14 local authors for young adults. The event has continued to grow through word of mouth and social media. Last year’s event included 40 participating authors, with over 15,000 individuals registering to participate virtually in 36 states and 10 countries. Students, educators, and fans, from here in Florida and as far away as Australia, have had the opportunity to see how their favorite characters came to life and learn about the writing process and the path to publication. The program includes involvement from parents, who participate in its execution, and opportunities for students to engage directly with writers.

“The Trinity Prep Author Fest continues to promote the love of reading on our campus, in our community, and beyond. To that end we are dedicated to providing books every year to the Central Florida Boys and Girls Club,”  said Parker, who teaches English and Young Adult Literature at Trinity Prep. “There is something magical about meeting authors and sharing books, and this is a tradition we want to carry on.”
