John Adair '72

John Adair earned a total of 13 varsity letters as a member of the cross-country, track and field, swimming, soccer, and baseball teams. John was Trinity Prep’s first state champion in ANY sport. He won individual state championships in both cross-country and track in 1970. He placed first in the state cross-country Class C and also placed first in the state track Class C (one mile) in the spring of 1971. In addition, he placed second in the state track Class C (one mile) in the spring of 1972.

It was not unusual for John to compete in a track meet and participate in a swim meet on the same day. When needed, John would also dive. He was a member of the 1971-72 soccer team that was ranked fourth in the State of Florida.

John was named captain of the cross country and track teams. He lettered in track, cross-country, swimming, soccer, and baseball. He was a scholar athlete and the valedictorian of the class of 1972.
