Krista Kranze Bump '90

Krista Kranze Bump was a three-sport standout on the volleyball, softball, and track teams, earning eight varsity letters. In volleyball, Krista set the school record in 1988 for most kills in a season with 69 and was known for her jump serving. She was selected as the team's MVP and named to the All-Conference team in 1989. As a member of the softball team, Krista was the All Sun-Outlook Player of the year in 1990 and was named to the All-Conference team in 1989 and 1990. She set single season school records for most home runs with 11, most runs batted in with 49, highest batting average of .483, and most runs scored with 34. Krista was elected co-captain her senior year and received the coaches award.

As a member of the track team, Krista competed in five events: 110 hurdles, 330 hurdles, high jump, shot put, and 4x100 relay. She was named to the All-Conference team in 1989 and 1990. Krista was the recipient of the U.S. Army Scholar/Athlete Award in 1990 and was named Trinity Prep's Female Athlete of the Year and Female Letterman of the Year in 1990.

Krista continued playing sports at Clemson University and was a member of their volleyball team as a freshman and crew team as a sophomore and junior.
