Kristin Wilding Schwieger '91

Kristin Wilding Schwieger was a member and captain of the swim team. The Orlando Sentinel named Kristin as swimmer of the year in her senior year. She finished in the top-three in her events at the state meet that year, earning first-team All-Conference, All- County, and All-State honors. Trinity Prep also selected her as female athlete of the year.

She received a scholarship to continue her swimming career at the University of Florida. She was a four-time All-SEC swimmer and played an integral role in the team’s winning four SEC championships. Kristin was a first-team All-American collegiate swimmer in the 500 and 1,650 freestyle. She placed in the top-three in SEC championship and swam on the SEC championship relay team. Nationally, she ranked sixth in the 500-free and tenth in the 1,650-free, and she qualified for the U.S. Nationals, U.S. Olympic trials, and U.S. Open.
