Distinguished Alumni
In 1996, Trinity Prep established an award to honor alumni who demonstrate the highest standards for excellence and achievement in service to either the school or the community. The school presents the award every year on the Friday of Celebration & Reunion Weekend.
Marc Ambinder '97Marc Ambinder is a Leadership Fellow at the USC Annenberg School of Journalism at the University of Southern California. His third book, about nuclear brinksmanship in the Reagan administration, will be published by Simon and Schuster later this year.

Amy Warren Beaty '77
Amy Warren Beaty received the distinguished alumnus award for her professional work experience. Amy, an interior designer with many honors, has risen to the top of her profession. She has been recognized in Architectural Digest, Southern Accent, and Southern Living magazines. She directed the $25 million renovation of the Homestead Resort in Virginia.
Denée Benton '10
Denée Benton ’10 has achieved great success in the theater industry in a very short time. She toured as a lead with the Book of Mormon, she was in a season of a show on the Lifetime Network, and she starred as Natasha in the Broadway show “Natasha and Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812,” alongside Josh Groban. Joie Watson Cadle '70
Joie Watson Cadle is the current chairman of the Orange County School Board. She was first elected in 2002 and is now serving her second term. As a 20-year volunteer in the Orange County public school system, Mrs. Cadle worked her way from cafeteria volunteer to three-time PTA president at the elementary, middle, and high school levels and from there to the office of an elected school board member. Casey Cooper '84
Casey Cooper received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Political Science summa cum laude in 1988 from Yale University. He received a Juris Doctor, cum laude, in 1993, and he was President of the Stanford Law Review. He served as a law clerk for the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit from 1993 to 1994. Continue Reading

Mayanne Downs is a partner at the Orlando firm of King, Blackwell, Downs & Zehnder P.A. She simultaneously serves as the city attorney for the City of Orlando and is one of Mayor Buddy Dyer’s closest advisers. Continue Reading
W. Raymond Herod '72
Ray Herod was the first recipient of Trinity Prep's Distinguished Alumnus award. He received this award for his long service to Trinity Prep, first as a student, then as a faculty member, and later as a trustee and board chair from 1994 to 1996.
Jeffrey Lebensburger '93
Dr. Jeffrey Lebensburger '93 is an assistant professor in Pediatric Hematology and Oncology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He was recently selected as a scholar by the American Society of Hematology, an international award for young clinical investigators. Elizabeth Lowndes McIntosh '78
Elizabeth "Liz" Lowndes McIntosh '78 received the distinguished alumna award for her long and dedicated service to Trinity Prep. Liz served on the Board of Trustees for six years, was chair of the Development Committee of the board for three years, was the class agent for the class of 1978 (winning the "top class" award three times), and was the alumni association president for 10 years. She also worked as Trinity Prep's Director of Alumni Relations for years.
G. Brock Magruder '76
G. Brock Magruder Jr., M.D. has been honored as one of the top LASIK surgeons in the country. He has performed over 20.000 LASIK procedures at LaserVue since 1988 and has experience with three laser delivery systems. Continue Reading

Pardis Sabeti achieved great academic accomplishments even before entering the workforce. She was a Rhodes Scholar at the University of Oxford and graduated summa cum laude from Harvard Medical School. Shyam Sankar '00
Shyam earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Cornell University and an M.S. in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University. He is currently the director of forward deployed engineering at Palantir Technologies. Continue Reading

Mike Toth is the President and CTO of R.B.Toth Associates, which provides a range of strategic services for organizations seeking to structure appropriate and practical responses to complex issues. Caroline M. Webber '76
A native of Orlando, Webber earned her bachelor’s degree from Emory University in Atlanta, where she majored in chemistry, then remained in the area to receive her D.D.S. from Emory University School of Dentistry. Whit Watson '89
Whit Watson joined the Golf Channel in August 2010 and serves as a play-by-play host for the network’s Web.com Tour,PGA Tour, and LPGA Tour tournament coverage. In addition, Watson works as a host for “Golf Central”, the network’s daily evening news program, as well as co-hosting “Morning Drive”, Golf Channel’s daily news and lifestyle show. Continue Reading
Douglas Woodman '78
Doug Woodman '78 received the distinguished alumnus award for his service to Trinity Prep. He spent six years on the Board of Trustees, functioned as the Board's treasurer, and has been on the planning committee of the Golden T Classic for over 25 years. Additionally, Doug has been part of the planning for many of the alumni events in the Central Florida area.
Frank Wright '89
Frank Wright has given his time, talent, and expertise to Trinity Prep in a number of different ways, from the Alumni Advisory Board to the Board of Trustees.
