Marie Bernadette Luse '99

Marie Bernadette Luse was a member of Trinity Prep’s inaugural girls golf team in 1997. A three-year starter, she was named to the All-County Team in 1998 and 1999, selected as the team’s most valuable player in 1997, 1998, and 1999, won the individual district title as a junior, and went on to compete for the state championship. She continued her athletic achievements at the University of Mississippi on a golf scholarship, led the Lady Rebels in stroke average her sophomore and senior years, and was named team captain during her junior and senior seasons. After graduation from Ole Miss in 2003, she qualified for the U.S. Women’s Open in 2004 and the LPGA Tour in 2005 and 2006. In 2008 Bernadette won the Golf Channel’s Big Break Competition.
