Ed McNicholas '00

Ed McNicholas earned a total of 11 varsity letters in football, soccer, and track. Ed was the sweeper on the soccer team from 1997-1999. He played safety, running back, and receiver on the football team from 1997-2000. On the track team, Ed participated in sprints and the pole vault. He earned five school records for the pole vault with a final record of 15 feet. He was the pole vault state champion (1999, 2000), runner-up (1998), and 3rd place (1997) during his athletic career at Trinity Prep.

Ed continued track and field at Clemson University and the University of Florida from 2000-2002. He was on the All ACC Academic Team and All SEC Academic Team. Ed also currently competes in compound archery at both the state and national level. He also competed at the state level in golf, playing to a scratch handicap.
