Amanda Burson Jayakeerthi '00

Amanda Burson Jayakeerthi was a five-year member of the softball team. Amanda was the starting pitcher on the varsity softball team from grades 8-12 and helped lead her teams to a state runner-up in 1996 and state championships in 1998 and 2000. She holds every regular season and career pitching record at Trinity Prep, most notably, career records of 104 wins and 20 losses, 1,269 strikeouts, 0.41 earned run average, opponents batting average of .100, 53 shutouts, 29 no-hitters, and five perfect games. She was a five-time All-County, All-Central Florida, and All-State Selection and received the Jasper Award as the top amateur softball player in Florida. Amanda continued her athletic achievements in college, starting for Columbus State University from 2001-2004, earning All-Conference Honors and All-Academic Honors.
