Eric Wilbur '03

Eric Wilbur earned a total of 13 varsity letters as a member of the football, soccer, track, and baseball teams. Playing multiple positions in football, Eric was a four-year starter. During his senior year, he averaged 48 yards a punt, was 11 for 14 in field goal attempts, had 87 tackles, four interceptions and three forced fumbles. He was named to the All State team as a sophomore, junior, and senior. He was named the MVP for football and track and was also the team captain for football and soccer. He was a member of the U.S. Army All-American Bowl played in San Antonio, Texas in 2003. As a versatile athlete, Eric was a four-year starter on the soccer team, a two-year letterman on the track team, and a member of the varsity baseball team.

Eric continued his athletic career at the University of Florida, where he started as a punter for the Gators his freshman year. He was named to the All-American team as a freshman and the All-Academic SEC team for three straight years. He was a Ray Guy semi-finalist for punters in his first year at the University of Florida. He currently holds the school records for career punting yards (9,900) and total yards in a single game (432). He was a member of the 2006 National Championship team.

After graduating from the University of Florida, Eric had try-outs in the NFL as a punter. He finished his professional career in the Canadian Football League, having played in Hamilton, Winnipeg and Toronto.
