Zach Zimmer '04

Zach Zimmer earned a total of eight varsity letters as a member of the football and baseball teams, was captain of the football team his junior and senior years, and was captain of the baseball team his senior year.

As a four-year starter on the football team, Zach rushed for more than 1000 yards in the 2002 and 2003 seasons, had 40 career touchdowns, helped lead the team to three state playoff appearances, and was the recipient of the Joe Braddy football award for dedication and the Stephen Phillips award for leadership. He was named to the All-County team in 2003, was the FACA District Player of the Year in 2003, and earned All-District honors in 2002 and 2003. Zach was a four-year starter on the baseball team and helped lead the team to four district championships from 2001 through 2004. Zach batted .424 his senior year and stole 42 bases. He was the recipient of the Joe Braddy award for dedication in 2003 and 2004.

Zach continued his athletic career in football at Butler University, where he earned four varsity letters, led the team in kickoff returns for three years, averaging 18 yards per return, and was the special teams MVP in 2007.
